Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Carroll will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN at 2:00 PM with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will also be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Charlene Carroll, 87, of Memphis, TN was born on February 10, 1938, in Leachville, AR, and passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Anna Tilley and her siblings Retha Tilley Smith, Guy Tilley, Leroy Tilley, Larry Tilley and Billy Tilley. She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Wilburn Eugene Carroll, age 87; daughter, Darlene Carroll Batts (Roger); daughter, Lisa Carroll Edmonds; son, Timothy Eugene Carroll (Teresa) and son, Jonathan Andrew Carroll; grandkids Hugh Batts, Christina Clark (Will), Michael Edmonds, Jr., Kristi Edmonds Scott, Brandon Carroll and Madison Carroll Forsythe (K.D.); great-grandkids Cheyenne Edmonds, Andrew Edmonds, Rebecca Edmonds, McKinley Scott, Harper Forsythe, Krew Forsythe and Lyla Cartwright.

A faithful wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, Charlene dedicated her life to her family. She and Eugene built a life together centered on love, faith, and family, creating a legacy that will live on through her children and grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Raleigh Assembly of God and more recently First Assembly Memphis where she enjoyed attending weekly worship services. Charlene’s warmth, kindness and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Hugh Batts, Brandon Carroll, James Carroll, Jonathan Carroll, K.D. Forsythe, and Matt Scott.
