

Wallace “Bill” Bond, 83, of Bartlett, TN passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Methodist Hospice Residence-Memphis. He was born in Pembroke, Kentucky to the late Billy and Mary Frances Wakefield Bond. Mr. Bond was a 1950 graduate of Pembroke High School, a member of the Masonic Lodge, A Shriner, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was also formerly employed with Thomas Industries, Bond’s Pure Truck Station, Gordon’s Transports and retired owner of B & B Transportation. Mr. Bond is survived by his loving wife, LaRue Fritz Bond; daughters, Terry Bond Brandon (Bill) of Olive Branch, MS, Lisa Bond Hicks (James) of Arlington, TN; son, John Wallace Bond of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Bond Major of Hopkinsville, KY, James Mitchell Hicks, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY, Jonathan Matthew Hicks of Arlington, TN, James Wesley Bond of Walls, MS and Sidney Renae Bond of Walls, MS; great grandchild, Saralynn Clair Major of Hopkinsville, KY; sisters, Mae Mason of Pembroke, KY, Margaret Moss of Hopkinsville, KY and Linda Joyner of Pembroke, KY. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until memorial service time at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN.
