I had not seen Walter in some time. Many times I would be close to the old neighborhood and would think of him and that I should stop by. I certainly regret not having seen him again on this earth but look forward to seeing him in heaven. Never was there a better friend and neighbor than the one I had in Walter. He knew something about all kinds of things and I use skills that I learned from him even now in my everyday life. I hope to leave behind one half the legacy that he left behind in his life.Love and prayers for his family from me and mine.

Joann and family, we only got to meet you'all briefly at Abby's services in MS, and we took a likeing to Walter. We wish we could have spent more time with Walter and the rest of the family but God had other plans. You all have our sincere condolences.

Remember you shared this great guy with so many of us so our thoughts and prayers are around you, loving each of you in a special way. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Walter Glover.  My late husband, Don Bauman, held Walter in such high regard; loved and respected him immensely.  I pray that God will comfort you with loving memories and give you His peace that passes all human understanding.  I remember Don speaking of Walter as a hard working man who loved his family. Your family was always such an inspiration of how a really close-knit family with a strong and loving father functioned so well and had so much fun together. My Daddy.  My First Love.  My Hero.  There was nothing that My Daddy couldn't do.   I don't know if I have ever seen him mad, hold a grudge or met a stranger.  He taught me so much through out life.  Whether it was wiring a receptacle, replacing the light fixtures, changing the oil in my car, installing sinks, cooktops and counter tops, I could always count on him.  When I would ask for his help with one of my projects, he would patiently walk me through it and let me do it myself.  He taught me early in life about electricity.  Being the jokester that he was, he was sitting on a fence post and when I asked him how he got up there, he just said "grab the fence and climb on up".  Well I did only it was an electric fence.  He just laughed and laughed.  At the time was not too funny to me, but now is halarious.  We have had many, many laughs about that.  One of my favorite memories growing up was Daddy regularly gathering up all the neighborhood kids and letting us ride in the back of his 67 Ford up to the ice cream store.  His love for my mother was unwavering.  Evem in his weakened state in the hospital, you could see the love that he had for her.  After 58 wonderful years of marriage, she was still his "pretty lady".  There is definitely going to be a large void in our lives.  Daddy is in the presence of the Lord and I know that I will be with him again.  We love you and Miss you much Daddy.

The entire Glover family are in my prayers right now.  Walter took such good care of me and Phyllis (Jeannie) when were roommates many years ago.  He loved looking after his girls!  He will be missed by many.  My heart goes out to his family at this very difficult time.
