Wendell Hunt

Wendell Hunt, 82 of Memphis passed away July 14, 2012. Wendell attended Iuka United Methodist Church; served as a SFC in the United States Army National Guard; was an officer with the United States Coast Guard Auxillary, and was a Free Mason. He retired after 41 years of service with Kimberly Clark Corp. Memphis Mill. After retiring, he move to Eastport, MS for 20 years before coming home to Memphis. Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hunt and sister, Iris Hunt White. He is survived by his daughter, Dianne Hunt Abel (John); sons, David Wendell Hunt (Sheila), Dennis Michael Hunt (Donna); grandchildren, William Abel, Sheryl Hunt, Brian Hunt (Mandy), Amanda Hunt, Drew Hunt and one great-granddaughter, Payton Ann Hunt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17 from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12 p.m. -1 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. following visitation in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society .
