William “Bill” Raney, 72, of Bartlett, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Memphis. Bill, AKA, My Love, Dad, Grandaddy, Uncle Bill, Coach Raney, and Old Goat, was a member of Sheet Metal Union Local #4 since 1972 and was retired from Walker-J-Walker after 30 years. Bill was a long-time member of the Church of the Nativity and was an avid Studebaker collector. He was preceded in death by one brother. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jackie Raney, his son, Kevin Raney (Jeanetta), his daughter, Karen Raney, two brothers, four sisters, and two grandchildren, Reggie and Allison Raney. The family will receive friends Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. and a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, all at Church of the Nativity, 5955 St. Elmo Rd. Memphis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cor Unum building fund at Church of the Nativity. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett.
