William Frank Ward, Sr., 79, of Memphis passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was a retired typesetter with the Commercial Appeal, a Master Mason and was very involved with coaching football at Egypt Central Middle School many years ago. Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Ward. He was a loving father to Frankie Ward, Jr. of Cordova, Kathie Ward of Memphis and Bryan Ward of Fayette County; loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mr. Ward also leaves his sister, Doris Powell of Destin, FL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2016 and a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
