Bettie Jo Davis

Bettie was born in Rockdale, Texas on December 28, 1931 to the late Hub and Helen Faulkner. She attended school in Sharp Texas. She married Lucion Davis on December 31, 1947; they were married for 43 years.

She worked as a homemaker, cook for the Davilla School and several cafes in the Davilla area. She also served as secretary/treasurer, for Davilla Assembly of God Church which she attended most of her life. Bettie enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting. She was also actively involved in all activities at her church. She loved attending activities that her family was involved in.

Bettie is survived by sons: Michael (Mike) Davis and wife Cindy from Davilla, Jimmy (Jim) Davis and wife Wendy from Lake Victor, Texas, and Donald (Donnie) Davis and wife Sabra from Davilla. Nine Grandchildren: Michael Davis, Kristy Drake, Sara Boysen, Candice King, TJ Davis, Jeffrey Davis, Amanda Dubec, Suzy Torres, and Jimmie Campbell. She has 23 great grandchildren: Tracey Pando, Reney Drake, Rustyn Drake, Heather Davis, Brett King, Jacob King, TJ King, Brooklyn Davis, Dallas Davis, London Davis,Yazmine Barajas , Alex Salazar, Ezekiel Torres, Jaxson Torres, Maddy Dubec, Grace Dubec, Skylar Dubec, Brooklyn Dubec, Brayden Dubec, Brazos Davis, Branson Davis, Hagan Boysen, and Elijah Boysen. She also has three great- great- grandchildren: Lux Pando, Jayden Pando, and Greyson Pando. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and best friend Evelyn Faulkner Anderson. Along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Bettie is preceded by her husband Lucion Davis, her parents, and her siblings: Allyne Cummings, Bennie York, Maurine Faulkner, Hubbard Faulkner, and Catherine Norrell.

A visitation will be held on Monday July 5, 2021 from 6pm-8pm at Goodnight Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 1pm at Davilla Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at Davilla Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Ron York and Stevie Faulkner. Grandsons: Michael Davis, TJ Davis, Jeffrey Davis, David Drake, Karl Boysen, and Lance Dubec will serve as pallbearers.
