Her faith and family and church family were the most important parts of her life, but she also had many other interests. She was very creative and artistic and she painted beautiful pieces of art for her family and community. She loved using her artistic gifts to decorate for banquets at church, the “Friendship Fest” parade, and many other community events.
Phyllis was a business owner in Bartlett for almost thirty years, PJ’’s Hair Fashions was not only a place of business but also a place of fellowship. Phyllis considered her clients her friends.

Phyllis had a beautiful life filled with wonderful friends. This was very evident when during her illness so many people hurried to offer their help. A special thank you goes to the ladies of the church and friends who continually showed their love and concern for her during her illness and to the lovely and gentle hospice nurses that cared for her and her family. A very special thank you goes to her friend, Krin Dawson Spin, who she met in the church nursery when they were babies years ago. Her constant love and attention was a testament to true friendship and Christian charity.
