Carole Ann Harris

Carole Ann Harris, age 78, of Bartonville, Illinois passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023. She was born on June 24, 1944 in Canton to Harold and Lucile (Kovachevich) Nibbelin. She married Howard "Butch" Harris, the love of her life, on February 19, 1966. They then moved to Peoria, and started their family. He survives.

She is also survived by her son, Todd (Jackie Russell) Harris; sister, Linda (Ralph) Wright; two step-grandchildren, Josh and Jake McDowell; niece, Kim Wright; nephew. Chris (Wendi) Wright; great-niece, Brianna Wright; and great-nephews, Michael Wright, Cash and Creed Payne.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carole Ann was a secretary and office manager for several construction companies as well as co-owner of B&H Electric. She loved to drive her new Trans-Am to work one day and drive her Lightning to work the next day. She was a gear head. She loved her four new Trans-Am's, one Lightning and one Camaro convertible. She loved to go driving around and she loved to drive fast.

She enjoyed spending time with her husband and son, going to car shows and cruise-ins. She was proud of the Trans-Am that was featured in a magazine. Carole Ann loved to watch her Chicago Cubs, she was an avid fan. She was thrilled to be alive to see her Cubbies win the World Series in 2016.

Carole Ann was such a light, her beautiful smile was almost as big as her hairstyles. She was fun and funny; kind and caring. She was loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A Funeral Mass for Carole Ann will occur at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 2525 South Skyway Road in Peoria. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Father Charles Klamut will officiate. Committal will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
