

Born March 14, 1933 in Pope County, Ill to John E and Edith M. (Ragain) Kilpatrick; he married Eleanor Peters on May 26, 1956 in Peoria. He later married Shirley Kehl on June 11, 1971 in Peoria and she preceded him in death on December 25, 2013.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Smith of Hanna City, Karen Kilpatrick of Peoria, Diane Jones of Mapleton; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; his brother, Jack Kilpatrick of Brownsville, Ill and Joy, his dog.
Preceding in death were his step-son, Douglas Kehl; granddaughter, Danielle Kilpatrick-Karmenzind; sons-in-law, Michael Smith and Jim Jones; and sisters, Betty and Doris Peck.
As a former partner with the Heritage Buick Dealership in Peoria; he was involved in the auto sales business all of his life.
Dad – King Kong, as he liked to be known, was an extremely strong willed person right up to the end.
He loved to fish, travel and help others less fortunate than he.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday November 1st at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
Funeral services will be held a t 10:00 am Wednesday, November 2nd at the Chapel with Deacon Craig Reaktenwalt officiating. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or TAPS in Pekin.
