Dennis Bennett

Dennis was born on October 22, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois to Vincent and Joan (Smith) Bennett. He married Danette Demmin in 1975 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, Danette; his three sons, Brian (Valerie) Bennett, Josh Bennett, and Brandon Bennett, all of Bartonville; his two grandchildren, Camden and Kylee Bennett; and his sister, Susan Bennett of Pekin, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Bennett.

Dennis worked for Caterpillar for 43 years, where he was known as "Hollywood." He was also a member of the UAW Local 974, where he served as a Steward for 27 years; Safety Chairman in Buildings SS & LL-NN; delegate to the UAW Convention; Chairman to By-Laws; Unit 2 Recording Secretary and Building Chairman for United Way.

Dennis loved life; he enjoyed being around people and had a lot of friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and watching the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Online condolences may be made through www.davison-fulton-bartonvillechapel.com.
