Donnie Wayne Street

Donnie Wayne Street, 78, of Bartonville, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Pekin Manor. He was born on February 11, 1947, a son of Dennis Wayne and Jewel A. (Morris) Street. Donnie married Mary A. Witt on April 2, 1966 in Peoria. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Shelly Street of Bartonville; two sisters, Vanessa "Lynn" (Dennis) Schmick of Manito and Pamela Jean Street of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; and pet dog, Pumkin.

He graduated from Limestone High School, Class of 1965.

Donnie served his country in the United States Army.

He worked as a parts chaser for Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for 33 years, retiring in 1998. Donnie then worked as a delivery driver for Midtown Imports/Suds of Peoria for several years after retirement.

Donnie was an avid music fan of Buddy Holly, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Lefty Frizzell, John Prine, and George Strait. He loved to work in his yard, mowing, and gardening. Donnie also enjoyed keeping his cars clean.

Donnie's funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. His visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 also at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with full military honors.
