Dorothy E. Dozard Hutchinson

She was born July 21, 1931 in Peoria, the daughter of Clarence and Virginia Knaggs Bruce. She married Leonard Dozard on September 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1985. She later married Lawrence Hutchinson on July 21, 1994. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 21 years; five sons, Gary Dozard of Peoria, David Dozard of Peria, Steve (Gina) Dozard of Peoria, Ricky (Joy) Dozard of Bartonville, Robin Dozard of Peoria; four daughters, Diana Dozard of Peoria, Melody (Billy) Hones of Washington, Elaine Stickelmaier of Washington, Rose Dozard of Peoria; four step-children, Lawrence II, Tammy, Jennifer and Donna; 30 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and her beloved dog, Charlie.

She was preceded in death by four sons, two daughters, six sisters and one brother.

Dorothy worked at Highview Nursing Home until retirement. She then opened the Dew Drop Inn Tavern in Peoria, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Ken Linder will officiate. Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery, East Peoria. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
