

She was born January 26, 1936 in Manchester, TN to Lewis Bailey and Margie A. (Layne) Good. She married Bob D. Stewart January 26, 1961 in Peoria. He preceded her in death May 30, 1995. Also preceding her in death were her parents; the love of her life, Bob Hanamean; four siblings, L.B Good, Joetta Rhodes, Barry Good and Vicky Giersh; her grand-daughter Angela Leazenby and her great-grandson, Conor Sommer, who lost his battle with cancer the same day she passed.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her seven children, Judy (Kenneth) Franken of Hanna City, Randall Floyd of East Peoria, Lisa Stewart of West Lafayette, IN, Angela R. (Phillip) Bishop of Edwards, Shelly Stewart of Trivoli, Bob Stewart and Rick (LeeAnn) Stewart both of Jacksonville, IL; Twelve grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, her sister in law Sarah Good of Pulaski, WI, her brother in law John Giersh of Peoria, and Jennifer Ewald a special member of the family that gave Erlene wonderful care during her illness.
Erlene worked from 1960 into the 1970s at the Colonial Cove and then Clarks Café in Peoria. In 1976 she and her husband opened Fishin Fools Bait & Tackle in Robein, IL and in 1989 they moved to Trivoli Illinois and opened Stewarts Family Restaurant. She was widowed 5 years later but continued to establish good relationships with customers and made many friends as she continued to build a successful business which remains open today. Erlene enjoyed going to church and supporting her community in many different ways. She supported the annual Trivoli Chilli Supper, traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and her grand-dogs here and in Indiana, along with her southern family in Tennessee.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hanna City United Methodist with visitation from 12:00 pm until the time of service. The Revs. Rick Kensinger and Rob Martin will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Trivoli Cemetery.
