

He was born in Pekin to Grover and Janey (Welch) Fouse Sr and lived in Peoria most of his life.
Grover joined the United States Army and served as an engineer. He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal and Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar.
On October 2, 1976, he married Diana Meyer in Bartonville with whom he was with for 44 years before her death on April 24, 2021.
Grover worked hard all this life providing for his family, in factories, as a mechanic, and many other hands-on jobs. He worked as a custodian at a university for years allowing his daughter, Michele, to get a college education.
He absolutely loved spending time with his grandkids, Payton & Dylen and family.
Being out in the woods and shooting his next deer was where he loved to be in the fall.
He loved helping Keenan in the fields both planting and picking the crops.
Grover is preceded by his wife; parents; father-in-law, Irvin Meyer; sisters, Violet Beeny and Dessie Fouse; brothers-in-law, Ed Suits and Bill Vanderheiden.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele (Keenan) Grutter; granddaughters, Payton and Dylen Grutter; mother-in-law, Helen Meyer; sisters, Ruby Suits, Lavada “Sue” Vanderheiden, Mary (Ira) May and Tennie Lee (Randy) Jackson; brothers-in-law, Dan (Dawn) Meyer, Doug (Alisa) Meyer; sisters-in-law, Darla (Don) Rohrer and Linda Meyer along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family/friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Burial will conclude at Lutheran Cemetery with Military honors being rendered.
