Judy Judy A. Reaktenwalt

She was born August 13, 1954 in Peoria to James and Marie (Meister) Brown. She married Craig L. Reaktenwalt on December 12, 1987 in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving is her father James Brown of Bartonville, brother James (Rona) Brown, Jr. of Fulda, MN, sister Barbara (Ray) Jones of Mackinaw, twin brothers Timothy (Leah) Brown of DesMoines, IA and Theodore Brown of Bartonville, several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Judy received her nursing degree as an LPN from ICC. She worked for Aetna Medicare for 20 years and retired from the Patient Accounting Dept. at Methodist Medical Center after many years of service.

She was an Auxiliary member of Limestone American Legion Post 979 and loved to play cards. Judy was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and its ladies guild. She was an active member of the church volunteering for many duties including being a member of the W.A.T.C.H. program.

A funeral mass will held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 5, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Father Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday April 4, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s of Lourdes’s Catholic Cemetery.
