Lain E. "Shagy" Johnson

  He was born Aug. 2, 1977, in Peoria to Roy C. and Sheryl (Spenny) Johnson. 

   Surviving are his grandparents, Lain and Marie Johnson of Peoria, and Ralph Spenny of Glasford; fiancé, Lori Loomis of Peoria and baby due in May, Charlie; twin daughters, Alaina Hope Johnson and Olivia Grace Johnson; father, Roy of Quincy; step-father and mother, Lavern and Sheryl Short of West Peoria; 4 brothers, Tim (Stephanie) Spenny and their children, Violet and Evelyn, Vernie (Sarah) Short of Peoria, Johnny  and Jimmy Short, both of Spring Bay; Uncle Tim (Karen) Johnson; cousin, Sam Johnson; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Spenny; 2 Uncles, Steve Spenny and Swain Johnson; and 2 cousins, Kim and Stevie Spenny.

   Lain worked as a Millwright for Local #1051 out of Lincoln.  He played rugby at the University of Colorado, and he belonged to the Alpha Psi Delta Fraternity there.  He was a tattoo artist and animal lover.

   Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville with Fr. Thomas Taylor officiating.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Chapel.  Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford.
