

Lloyd Nelson Hosler,74, of Glasford, Illinois died Monday, September 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born on November 11, 1939 in Chillicothe, Illinois. He was the son of Edmond and June (Newell) Hosler. He married Gloria Clark on July 11, 1959 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Larry N. (Sharon) Hosler of Mapleton, Illinois and Judith Hosler of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has six grandchildren, Brett Hosler, Danielle Harper, Kendall Howard, Laura Harper, Robert (B.J.) Harper and Lisa Trebiani and 5 great grandchildren. Lloyd has one brother, Donald Hosler of Kewanee, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Hosler.
Lloyd worked over 30 years at Wiese Planning and Engineering Company first as a mechanic and later as a salesman, retiring in 2004. He was a founding member of the Pekin Bottle Club, River Valley Antique Club and the American Heritage Collectors. He loved collecting and restoring antique tractors. He was an Air Force Veteran serving from 1959 until 1962 and the American Legion Post 35 of Glasford, Illinois where he proudly served on the honor guard. He was a former member of the Christian Assembly.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Davison- Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Jerry Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 PM until 7 PM and 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton, Illinois where military rites will be handled by American Legion Post 35. Memorials may be made to the Daniel J.
