Louisa J. Flowers-Conine

Louisa Flowers-Conine (formerly of Elgin and Peoria IL) died Sunday Jan. 4 in Grady Hospital, Delaware OH surrounded by loving family. Louisa was born Dec. 8 1925 to Peter and Elizabeth Allison in Matherville IL. She married Raymond (Fred) Flowers 7/21/48 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1980. Also preceding her in death were her parents, second husband Carl Conine and granddaughter Jennifer (Meyers) Piedra. Brothers William, Peter, Roland and Roger Allison and sister Elizabeth Williams preceded as well.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Dave) Meyers, and son Randy (Deborah) Flowers, granddaughters Kim (Frank) Simmons and Evan (Nick) Keisel, grandsons David (Arlene) Meyers and Luke (Marcia) Flowers. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Mike and Nate Simmons, Zach Meyers, Alex and Zoe Piedra, Kaelen and baby Keisel due in August and Braydon Flowers. Additional survivors include her sister Bonnie (Paul) Markle and one brother Donald (Dee) Allison, brother-in-law Peter Donohue and sisters –in-law Margaret (William) Allison and Christine Miller. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as close family friend Richard Rogers.

After graduating from Manual High School in 1944 and marrying in 1948 she was a homemaker for several years before working at Peoria Dry Goods and Arlans Dept. After she retired from Caterpillar Tractor she enjoyed spending time with her family and camping friends.

Services will be held Jan. 31 at Davison-Fulton Funeral Home Bartonville at 11:00 am with burial in Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.
