HANNA CITY- Luella M. Johnson, 77, of Hanna City, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Unity Point\Methodist Hospital in Peoria, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 21, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to Edgar and Mary (Pierce) Washburn. She married LeRoy D. Johnson on December 2, 1977 in Peoria, Illinois. He survives.
She is also survived by two children, Keelo Ohland of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kevin Johnson of Coppell, Texas; one sister, Barb (Jerome) Schneider of Hanna City, Illinois; three grandchildren, Alexandra Ohland, Alyssa Ohland and Brandan Johnson; and her two favorite pet dogs, Sammy and Lacey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Luetta Washburn.
Luella worked as a secretary at the Bellevue Grade School for 16 years and at Zion Lutheran Church in Peoria for 20 years, retiring in 2014. She was always thinking and helping others. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church and a present member of Zion Lutheran Church of Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, August 6, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Peoria. Rev. Steven P. Tibbetts will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
