

Lyle Eugene Nannen, 86, of Glasford, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at his home. Born in Glasford, in the home he lived in his entire life on September 19, 1939, he was the son of the late Harm and Katie (Riekena) Nannen. Lyle married Mary Lou Faucon on October 29, 1961 in Roanoke. She survives.
Further survivors include three children, Jeff (Kerry) Nannen, Tim (Becky) Nannen, and Amy (Paul) Flynn; six grandchildren, Jessica, Samuel, and Josie (Mairead) Flynn Nick and Noah Nannen, and Breann (Addison) Pietroburgo; a great-grandson, Milo; a sister, Marlene (John) Miars; and a sister-in-law, Barb Nannen. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin (Phyllis) and Bernard Nannen.
Lyle was a graduate of Timber Township High School. His love for farming began at a very early age, helping his father and subsequently taking over his father's farm operation after graduating high school. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their various activities and sports, classical music, and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glasford. Lyle served as St. Peter Counsel President, the Stewardship Secretary, was on the St. Peter Cemetery Board, as well as Peoria County Service Board and Westwood School Board, and Timber Township tax assessor.
The family would like to thank Timber Hollis Fire Department, his caregivers Andrea and Ravyn, others from the Home Helpers Team as well as the OSF Hospice staff - Allison, Angie, Katie, Darren, and Peyton, for their excellent, considerate and tender care given to Lyle.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Glasford from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m..
