She was born on January 2, 1954 in Peoria, IL to the late Harland and Alberta (Burge) Fischer.
She received her Bachelor's Degree at Western Illinois University. She worked for Mailtech Inc., formerly Fleming and Potter. She later worked for the Tazewell County Farm Bureau organizing activities and tours, and writing the monthly newsletter for the Prime Timers.
Phyllis loved animals and flowers. She played racquetball when she was younger and later enjoyed golf. Phyllis will alway be remembered as a caring and compassionate person who loved and cared for her family.
She is survived by her siblings; Donna Eiker, Betty Trilikis, and Allen (Linda) Fischer; her nieces and nephews, Allison (Mark) Bobofchak, George (Emily) Trilikis, Lou (Kari) Trilikis, Michelle (Tim) Johnson, and Jarrod (Kirsten) Love; 13 great nieces and nephews; 1 great great niece; 1 great great nephew; and many extended family members.
She is preceded by her parents; and her brothers-in-law, Steven Eiker and Louie Trilikis.
A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:30 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford, IL, with a Visitation 1 hour prior. The Committal service will be held after at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Peter Lutheran Church, or donor's choice.
