Phyllis Jean Melton

Phyllis was born May 19, 1933 in Peoria, the daughter of Harry & Louise Durham Doran. She married Earl Melton on April 22, 1950. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years; six children, Gary (Robin) of Elmwood, Steve (Peggy) of Peoria, Dianna (Dave) Nichols of Oak Run, Ronald of Trivoli, Cathy (Larry) Hampton of Bartonville, and Michael (Jan) of Trivoli; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond (Connie) Doran of Peoria; three sisters, Sharon Stear of Elmwood, Linda (David) Bell of Peoria, and Mary Ann (Mike) Cannon of Peoria. Phyllis was preceded by her parents,two sisters and four brothers, and two daughter-in-laws. She worked as a clerk at Methodist Hospital for twenty years, retiring in 1993.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday November 16, 2013 at Davison- Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Ron Depperman will officiate. Visitation will be Friday Evening November 15, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
