

He was born September 21, 1923 in Puerto Rico to Felix and Francisca Santiago Pagan. He married Shirley Medley, who preceded him in death. He later married Gail Johnson on June 12, 1983 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Dan (Connie) Pagan of Peoria and Terri Pagan (Stu Miller) of East Peoria; three step sons, Steven Johnson, Fred Johnson, and Brant (Angie) Johnson all of Peoria; a daughter-in-law, Conny Pagan of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren, Dax Pagan of Las Vegas, Michael (Amy) Pagan and Jeanine Pagan both of Chillicothe, Tao (Scott) Albritton of Mackinaw; Tai (Rob) Keyster of Corpus Christi, TX, Branon Johnson of Peoria, Cameron Johnson of New Orleans, LA, Kobe Johnson of Peoria, and Brooke Johnson of Bartonville; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ladd Pagan and one step-son, Michael Johnson.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army During W.W.II and received five bronze stars. He worked for Singer Sewing Machine Corporation as a District Manager and independently for many years before retiring in 2007. Ralph was also a Dance Instructor for over 45 years with the Peoria Park District and was a member of both the Caper Dance Club and Eureka Dance Club. In his youth he enjoyed and was successful as a Golden Gloves Boxer in New York, NY. He was also a past member of the VFW and AMVETS. He enjoyed music, dancing, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A further celebration of life will follow the service from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at EPIC, 1913 W. Townline Rd. in Peoria.
