Rich was born in Peoria on December 28, 1949 to William L. and Mary R. Kalb. He married Tammy Brown on January 29, 1999.
Rich is survived by his wife; his children, David, Sis and Lori Kalb and Matt (Courtney) Brown; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don (Robin), Earl (Linda) and Joe (Colleen) Kalb; two sisters, Margie (Wayne) Browning and Linda (Dave) Scales. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; and four brothers, Bill, Jim, Pete and John.
Rich was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Caterpillar in 2000 with 30 years of service. He was last working for Dr. Pepper-Snapple Group as of August 2013.
Cremation rites will be accorded and per Rich’s wishes there will be no services. The family will gather for a Celebration of Life at a later date. Arrangements are being handled through Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
