Rick Ogden

He was born July 4, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Raymond Earl and Geraldine Lucille (Nelson) Ogden. He married Wilma Holtman on April 21, 1979 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville where they were active members for many years. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother Geraldine Ogden of Bartonville; one daughter, Debra Kay Ogden of Bartonville; one brother Ray (Ann) Ogden of Bartonville; one sister Janet (Mike) Graham of Chillicothe; two nieces, Tracey (Ciro) Dominguez and Noel (Rick) Rives; one nephew, Bryan (Jessica) Ogden; six great-nephews, Christian, Angel, Zack, Noah, Braden, Brock; and three great-nieces, Brandy, Brooklyn and Breanna.

He was preceded in death by his father and one infant brother Dennis Ogden.

Rick was a machine specialist at Caterpillar Inc. last working in September of 2011 due to illness. He was also a supervisor at the Peoria Civic Center for 20 years. He was a member of UAW Local 974, Greater Peoria Church Dartball League, Peoria Catholic Dartball League and was a member of CrossPoint Church in East Peoria where he served as a communion assistant.

Rick knew and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all his life.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at CrossPoint Church in East Peoria. Pastor Joshua Gutteridge will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel and one half hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
