Ronald O. Wright Sr.

Ronald was born April 9, 1937, the son of Forrest Owen& Genevia Hellen Deavult Wright.

He married Sandra Brackett in Hanna City on August 31, 1963. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Susan (Loydd) Thurman of Marquette Heights, Rhonda Wright of W. Peoria, Ronald (Tricia) Wright Jr. of Barton ville, Helen Wright of West Peoria, Shelley (Santiago Garcia) Wright of Marsh field, WI, and Margery Wright of W. Peoria; Eleven Grandchildren, Samuel (Dana), Andrew, Aaron, Jocelynn, Paul James, Jailey, Caressa, Jelise, Raymond, Taylor, and Jarret; two great –grandchildren, Samuel III, and Tristan; one brother, Gerald(Nancy) Wright of Hanna City ; four nieces, Robin, Veronica, Joy(Keith) and Patti; and five great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Andrew.

Ronald was a truck driver for O’Neill Brothers Transfer and Storage until he retired.

He was a member of Teamster Local 627, and the Hanna City Sportsman club.

Ronald was an avid racing fan, enjoying Nascar and local speedway racing. Jeff Gordon being his favorite.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Barton ville Chapel. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be Monday Evening from 5-8 and an hour prior to services on Tuesday also at the Funeral Home.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Interment of ashes will be in Smithville Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Institute.
