Born June 4, 1948 in Peoria, IL to Ottis G. and Icy Lee (Walker) Lemaster. He married Sue Ann Mercer in Dunlap on Oct. 31, 1970. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Bartonville; three sons, Russell S. of Peoria, Dustin K. of Bartonville, Christopher W. of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Marsha (Larry) Day of Peoria, Michelle (Ross) Kaul of Norcross, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
Russell was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked for the P & PU Railroad from 1966 to 1999. Following that he worked at Sam Leman Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Morton until retiring in 2011.
He had a passion for cars since he was just a kid. He attended Rock Church in East Peoria.
Funeral Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded following services.
