Savilla Brenda W Eustice

Born October 30, 1944 in Peoria, she was a daughter to the late Beuford and Mary Rinker-Wright. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. Francis School of Nursing, and worked as an RN for over 40 years holding employment at OSF, Old State Hospital, Pavilion South Nursing Home, Peoria School of Medicine, and the Peoria County Jail. Brenda married Vernon Eustice, Jr. on July 23, 1965 in St. Boniface Church in Peoria, he preceded her in August 2006. She was of the Christian faith and both worked and attended the Salvation Army in Florida. She was most proud of being a writer of Christian drama and musicals, and was a published author by the Standard Publishing Company, Cincinnati, OH. Brenda loved collecting antiques including dolls and quilts in which she won awards in the Peoria County Fair. She was a Rectora of the Christian Cursillo Movement in Peoria, a member of W.A.T.C.H. of St. Anne’s Church, as well as, an avid lover of her animals.

She is survived by three daughters: Ashley (Andrew) Schmutzer of West Chicago, Kristi (Ryan) Roos of Peoria, and Jennifer (Sebastian) Ciancio of Danville, IL; two sons: James (Heather) Eustice of Bartonville, and Jason Eustice ; ten grandchildren: Jonathan, Sarah, and Rachel Schmutzer, Jayme Eustice, Franchezka Briggs, Brayden Miles, Emma Ciancio, Bella Ciancio, Andrew James “AJ” Eustice and Riley Reese; two sisters: Joann Bryan of Carlinville, IL, and Robin Langston of Evanston; one brother Richard Wright of Illinois, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Sara Eustice (1974), one brother Jerry Wright (1989), and one sister Rita.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 between the hours of 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Davison- Fulton Bartonville Chapel, 1203 W. Garfield Ave. Bartonville, IL 61607. A memorial service will take place at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Deacon Louis Tomlianovich will officiate and cremation arrangements will be accorded.
