Stanley Peter Mohn

He was born May 8,1948 in Peoria to Thomas F. and Marjorie A. (Wyss) Mohn. He married his high school sweetheart, Diana Lynn Nichols, on April 8, 1967. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Lisa (Troy) and son, Scott (Darby), five grandsons, four great-grandchildren, brother, Jim (Charlene), and special cousin, Louie (Arlene). He was

preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.

He worked as a Millwright at Caterpillar for over 30 years, retiring in 1997 and was a long time member of Second Baptist Church in Peoria.

He was an extraordinary man of many talents and a kind soul who demonstrated the values of faith, hard work, loyalty, integrity, generosity, and serving others. He loved fishing and

hunting and enjoyed many trips with family and friends to Minnesota, Colorado, and Canada over the years. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying his airplanes.

Most of all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and our family was so very blessed to have him in our lives.

Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the chapel on Tuesday, February 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held at the chapel on Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m., with a dinner to follow at Second Baptist Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Church in Peoria or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
