Steven James Anderson

Born on April 16, 1947 in Peoria to Virgil and Jean (Miller) Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Jean Anderson of 46 years. Also surviving are his children, James (Ann) Anderson of Bluegrass, IA, Jodie (Tim) Askam of Elmwood, IL, Kevin Anderson of Pekin, IL, Patti Carmody (Matt Bloompott) of Bartonville, IL, Michelle (Michael) Adams of Leroy, IL, and Jennifer Callahan (Derek Look) of Bartonville, IL.

Steve was a proud grandpa of 11 grandchildren, Brooke (Matt) Rosenberger of Nashville, TN, Taylor Anderson of Durango, CO, Julia DePriest of Peoria, IL, Jarod DePriest of Brookings, SD, Liz Myers of Bloomington, IL, Drew Myers of Peoria, IL, Drake Helmig of Bartonville, IL, Mallary Helmig of Bartonville, IL, Marissa Adams of Tolono,IL, Kyle Callahan of Bartonville, IL and Alex Callahan of Bartonville, IL.

He is also survived by three sisters, Jan Rollyson, Cathy Adkins, and Mary Jo Roberts and brother, Mike Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barb Apell.

Steve enjoyed his trips up north with his wife snowmobiling, planting his garden, spending time with his family, fishing tournaments, hunting with sons, and teaching all he could how to fix anything. He loved classic cars and going to car shows.

He worked 40 years at Caterpillar as a Chemical Engineer retiring as a Senior Design Engineer. Steve served with the US Army from June 28th, 1966 until June 27th, 1968.

A visitation for Steve will occur on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, 1203 West Garfield Avenue Bartonville. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
