

He was born Sep. 3, 1949 in Peoria to John D. and Ruth (Johnston) Perrine. He married Betty Gilstrap Archdale July 3, 1988 in Peoria. She survives along with three sons: Tom (Ann) Perrine of Mapleton, Jeff Perrine of Wyoming, IL, Dan (Kim) Archdale of Hanna City, one son-in-law, Mark Carle of East Peoria, two daughters: Cindy (Bryan) Newman of Peoria, Sue Robinson of East Peoria, one brother, Jeff (Dot) Perrine of Peoria, two sisters: Diane Perrine of Chillicothe and Laurie (Richard) Thomason of Henry. Tom was also a beloved grandpa to twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Brandi Carle and one grandson, Nate Perrine.
Tom was a Vietnam War Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from Feb. 1970 till Feb. 1971. In the Army he was a member of the Delta Battery 3/319th, 173rd Airborne Division as an Artilleryman. He was an expert marksman.
Following Vietnam Tom worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years as a Mechanic retiring in 2004. After retirement he continued working as a custodian at his church.
Tom was an IVC graduate and received a degree in Auto Mechanics from ICC.
He was a member of Living Hope Community Church in Bartonville.
Funeral services will be Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Living Hope Community Church in Bartonville. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Church. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington with Military Honors.
Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Living Hope Community Church, or the American Heart Association.
He will be deeply missed by all.
