Virginia H. Mullen

She was born April 9, 1919 in Dunlap, Iowa to Timothy and Rose (Mulligan) Ledden. She married John J. Mullen in Peoria on July 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1979. Her daughter, Mary Jane Brackney Bruce, preceded her in death on September 9, 1994.

Also, preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Chris (Jodie) Brackney of Peoria, and Dawn Brackney of Bartonville; and 5 great-grandchildren, Gage and Cole Brackney of Peoria, Tyler Gardner of Tremont, and Dillon and Allison (Brackney) Yocum of Chicago.

She worked for Humitube Manufacturing Co. for 25 years and Bergner’s Distribution Center for 15 years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville where a Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. Fr. David Heinz will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before Mass at church on Monday. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
