He was born March 15, 1946 in Peoria to Franciesco P. and Michelina M. (Fiorella) Cotelleso.
On the best day of his life, he married Patricia Hale August 20, 1966 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Anthony “Tony” (Jennifer) Cotelleso of Loves Park, IL and Jamie (Sarah) Cotelleso of Epsom, NH; grandchildren, Hannah Cotelleso, Claire Cotelleso, Silas Cotelleso and Ella Cotelleso; siblings, Ernest “Sonny” (Roma) Cotelleso of Hanna City, IL, Leona (Troy Phillips) Deemie of Pekin, IL; Joseph Cotelleso of Peoria, IL and Tom (Yvonne) Cotelleso of Hopedale, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cecelia Colclasure; and brother, Eugene Cotelleso.
Vic accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in June of 1975. He graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He pastored the Hermon Bible Church before moving back to Bartonville. He served the Lord at Oak Grove Baptist Church now Berea Baptist Church in Bartonville. He most recently attended the Pekin Bible Church.
Vic was a union painter and retired in 2008.
Vic loved work especially with his hands, fixing, repairing, and building whatever he could.
Vic was a loving husband, an awesome dad, and a goofy “Papa” who loved his wife, 2 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and 4 grandchildren with all his heart. He was a great brother and brother-in-law, the middle child of 7, and a great uncle to his nieces and nephews. Family was important to Vic. He loved family get togethers especially because it would involve chicken, pasta, and ice cream which were his favorite foods.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Pekin Bible Church, 2405 Court Street, Pekin IL. An additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the church on Friday.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Pekin Bible Church. Pastor Chad Nightingale will officiate.
Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
