Ann Marie Melchior Johnson

Ann was born in Frankfurt, Germany on February 7, 1926 to the late Fredrick and Mathilda Melchior who preceded her in death. She now joins the love of her life, Elton Johnson and two sons, Steve and baby Michael. She also was preceded by a brother and sister in Germany, Hans Melchior and Else Henrich.

To cherish her memories are a daughter, Lisa Thomas and a son, Randy Johnson and his wife, Teresa. Her grandsons, Sam Thomas and Nick Johnson were the apples of her eye.

Ann’s first job after coming to America was at Globman’s Department Store where she was embraced by the Globman family even though she had very little English speaking skills. After raising her children, Ann went back to the real love of her life, teaching children where she was employed by the Henry County School System for 27 years touching many young lives.

She was a member of Fort Trial Christian Church where she adorned the Church for many years with her talent of flower arranging.

Ann’s celebration of life service will be Monday, August 1, 2016 at Fort Trial Christian Church with Minister Milford Witt officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
