The family is very thankful for his “ROOK” buddies who showed tremendous care for him. The Event Center holds a special place in his heart as this is where he spent his final years enjoying Rook, friendships, and delicious food. He also spent his high schools years there being the star athlete affectionately known as "Brains Haynes". He would help others even strangers who needed a few dollars.

Arthur Haynes was a coach for our sons in Henry County Little League Baseball. He loved the game and coaching young boys and shared this with our sons. We are very grateful for the time and energy he gave to the young boys. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of this fine man.

As a Home Health nurse I visited Arthur's father, Ralph Haynes. This is how I first met Arthur. Both he and his dad were very sweet genuine southern gentlemen and I came to care a lot for them both. I know Arthur will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Heather, I am so sorry to learn of your father's death. I first met your dad in early 1960's. We all shared so many vacations together. He was always a real personality. I am so sorry that after moving away we lost touch. But, please know he and your Mom were always in my heart. Wonderful people. May you find comfort in knowing he's in heaven now and we will all be together some day. God bless you.
