

Barbara Hardy (Bobbie) Prillaman, age 74, of 105 Violet Lane, Bassett, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Martinsville on October 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Arnett Maston Hardy and Pauline Bradford Hardy.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eddie Prillaman and a sister, Hylda Hylton.
Bobbie was a very active member of Fork Mountain United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and supported The Henry Fork Center. She was also a past Danville District president of the United Methodist Women and was the Associate Lay Leader for Franklin County. Bobbie retired from nursing after thirty years of service at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathy Martin of Snow Creek, Robin Gibson and her husband Robbie of Martinsville and Trish Rhodes and her husband Lloyd of Fieldale, one son, David Collier and his wife Pam of Ridgeway, two sisters, Frances Muse of Dublin and Lynda Dove of Martinsville, her brother, Jerry Hardy of Salem, eight grandchildren, J.C. Martin, Evan Collier, Matthew Gibson, Shannon Collier, Christopher Collier, Jordan Collier, Amber Wright, Ashley Wright, and one great-grandson, Jacob Wilson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Fork Mountain United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Shively officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church.
