Christine Turner Alexander

Christine Turner Alexander, age 90, of Martinsville passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 13th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Martinsville, March 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Sarah Turner and Oliver Turner. Also preceding her in death were her loving husband, Edward Vance Alexander, her brothers, Everett Turner, Gilbert Turner and Cephas Turner. She retired from Pannill Knitting Company and was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Collinsville. Surviving are her son, Ray Alexander (Bernice), two granddaughters, Jennifer Moorefield (Chris) and Tammy Alexander, three great-grandchildren, Dakota Moorefield, Kara Moorefield and Skylar Bell, three sisters, Ivalue Griggs, Freda Dixon and Faye Horton, and Madison Lawson and Jacob Lawson, who are not by blood but by love. The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, with Reverend Raymond Moorefield officiating with interment in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
