Born in Critz, August 4, 1939, he was a son of the late Thomas Crawley Hancock and Katherine Brim Hancock.
He was a graduate of Harden Reynolds High School and was retired from C. P. Films.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Martin Hancock of the home, a son, Michael Grant Hancock and his wife Deana of Radford, a grandson, Hunter David Hancock, two sisters, Jean Joyce and Faralina Conway of Bassett, and a brother, Jimmy Hancock of Bassett.
The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett, with the Rev. Danny Gilley officiating. Interment will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 7 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral Home.
