

Deborah Lynn Parks, 48, of 24 Perry Street in Collinsville, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville on February 4, 1963, to Lorraine F. Parks of the residence in Collinsville and the late Charles Woodrow Parks. Deborah was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School and attended Patrick Henry Community College, UNCG, VA Tech and Liberty University. She was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church in Collinsville.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Barbara Parks Johnson and husband, John of Bassett; a brother, William (Bill) Charles Parks and wife, Mary of Collinsville; one niece, Amy Johnson; two nephews, Bill Parks and wife, Rachel, Christopher Johnson and wife, Holly; one great-niece, Kailynn Parks; two great-nephews, Adam and Nathan Johnson; two aunts, Eleanor Bodiford and Rosa Parks; fiancé, Dean Borders and a special friend, Linda Shires.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11: A.M. at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tildon Bridges officiating.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service (10:00 to 11:00) at the church.
