Doris Dellinger

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, Herbert Dellinger, Sr., daughter Sheree R. Martin and her spouse, Dr. Sanford Martin, she is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Julie Dellinger, 5 grandchildren: Ryan Harris, Jacob Dellinger, Sarah Martin, Hogan Dellinger and Daniel Martin. She was also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Steven Harris, Luke Dellinger, Isaac Dellinger, Phebe Dellinger, Piper Dellinger, Elianna Martin and Tatiyana Martin.

Doris was a devoted teacher and librarian for Henry County Public Schools for almost 30 years. She and her husband were long-time member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. When a member of Blackberry Baptist Church she wrote a book of the church history entitled “Precious Memories”. She served as a Sunday School teacher and librarian in both churches.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022 in Henry Memorial Park with Reverend Rick Anderson officiating.

The family suggest memorial donations to be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 4432 Pleasant View Drive, Patrick Springs, Virginia 24133.
