Elby Leon Willis

Elby Leon Willis, 69, of Bassett passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018. He was born in Henry County, VA on September 24, 1948 to the late Elby W. Willis and Vada Pendleton Willis. Mr. Willis was an automobile mechanic for over 30 years at Jimmy’s Tire and Auto. Mr. Willis is survived by his wife, Janie Romans Willis, daughter; Amanda Wallace, sons; Matthew Willis and wife Alexis, and Daniel Willis, grandchildren; Cora Barker, Peyleigh Willis, James Willis, and Henry Willis, and best friend; Oscar Willis. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bassett. The service will follow at the church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lew Bennet officiating.
