Ethel Doris Woods Wimbush

She was born November 27, 1932 in Henry County, VA to Henry C. Woods and Nannie Sue Woods, who both preceded her in death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Cleo Edward Wimbush; a daughter: Wanda Wimbush; a son: Wayne Wimbush; a grandson: Troy Lane; a great-grandson: Lance Schoefield; two sisters: Ivory Young and Lucille Calloway and three brothers: Early Woods, Joe E. Woods and Henry “Kermit” Woods.

She is survived by four daughters: Betty Thomas of Martinsville, Sandra (James) Johnson of Martinsville, Glenda (Jimmy) Lane of Martinsville and Tina McKoy of Greensboro, NC; a son: Edward Lynn Wimbush of Bassett; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Todd Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Wimbush Family Cemetery on Sunset Drive.
