Gary Lee Turner

Gary Lee Turner, 75, of Martinsville passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. He was born November 2, 1941 in Martinsville to the late Edgar Lee Turner and Ann Lee Young Turner. Mr. Turner retired from Dupont after 30 years of service. He enjoyed crow hunting and fishing as hobbies. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hancock Turner, sons; Bradford Audie Turner and wife Melissa of Stokesdale, N.C. and Corvin Lance Turner and wife Robin of Bassett, sister; Anne Elizabeth Whiteway and husband Don of Smithfield, VA, grandson; Jacob Turner, step-grandsons; Michael Biggs, T.J. and Ethan Weatherford, step-great-granddaughter; Meredith Biggs. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with Reverends Joe Kendrick and Doug Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.
