Glenda Marie Janney Minnick, 61, of Martinsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. She was born in Henry County, November 5, 1952 to Ida Lee Meade Janney of Stanleytown and the late Joseph Noah Janney. Glenda was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School and was employed by V F Knitwear for 33 years. She was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dean Minnick; one sister, Rita Ann Huffman of Martinsville; one brother, Steve A. Janney of Stanleytown and nephews, David Gray and Logan Huffman.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chatham Heights Baptist Church Youth, 1235 Chatham Road, Martinsville, VA 24112.
