

Born in Henry County, January 5, 1939, he was a son of the late Harry and Molly Reynolds Craig.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lucille Rakes, and three brothers, Harry Edward Craig, Russell Craig, and Darrell Craig.
Elgin was an avid league bowler, hunter and fisherman.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett where his memorial service will be held at 7;00 P.M. Thursday, February 24, 2011, with the Rev. Lew Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 P.M. prior to the service.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Ilene O. Craig of the home, his daughter, Karen Craig Medley and her husband Jeff of Bassett, a grandson, Dustin B. Medley of Bassett, his step-mother, Rosie D. Craig of Bassett, four sisters, Frances C. Fretwell of Bassett, Mildred C. Griffin of North Carolina, Brenda C. Setliff of Stuart, Janice C. Wright of Martinsville, seven brothers, George A. Craig of Bassett, Carlton R. Craig of Marion, Roger L. Craig, Ronnie R. Craig, Jimmy L. Craig and Terry W. Craig, all of Bassett, and H. Ramie Craig of King, NC, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members.
