Kimberly “Kim” Jorgensen Custin, age 60, of Collinsville, Va. passed away at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 26, 2026. She was born in Auburn, N.Y. on March 7, 1966, to Theodore James Jorgensen and Joyce Ann Ingalls Sickles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert W. Jorgensen and Theodore James Jorgensen, Jr.
Kim is survived by her husband, Jay Philip Custin; children, Cadence Custin (Jaime), Alex Custin (Amanda), Bryson Custin, Colton Custin and Eleanor “Ellie” Custin; siblings, Christine M. Anguish and Richard P. Jorgensen; also, many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kim was a very devoted and loving mother. She and Jay have fostered children for many years. She especially enjoyed their times together while vacationing and going to the beach. Family was everything to her and she was the 41st grandchild among 65 in her family. She also loved her Church family at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:30 PM and will be officiated by Reverend Ryan Ware.
