She was born October 10, 1936 in Fieldale, Virginia to the late Walter Clark and Margaret Frances Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hamilton Dodson.
She is survived by her two sons, Geoffrey Eanes of Fieldale, and David Eanes and wife Elizabeth of Martinsville, two daughters, Lori Dodson of Bassett, and Kathy Dodson of Fieldale, two sisters, Marie Hodges of Rocky Mount, and Jeanie Hill of Martinsville, six grandchildren, Amanda Secrest, Tiffany Case, Jeremy Eanes, Clark Thacker, Ashley Eanes, and Joshua Eanes, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to family she is survived by four very special ong friends, Joy and Herbert Shumate, Virginia Purdy. and William ( Bill ) Cherry.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Chatham Burial Park, Chatham, Virginia, with Rev. William H. Preskitt officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, Virginia.
