

He was born in Henry County January 23, 1950, to the late Wallace E. Pilson and Lucy Johnson Pilson of Bassett who survives. He was the owner of Custom Kitchen and Cabinets and was a carpenter.
In addition to his Mother he was survived by his wife of 40 years, Josephine T. (Jodi) Pilson, six daughters, Angela M. Jacques, Michelle Grant, Katina Jones and Melissa Turner all of Martinsville, Peaches Hunt of Charleston, SC, and Loletha Penn of Bassett, two sons, Dominique Jones of Roanoke and Travis Hairston of Bassett., three brothers, Michael M. Pilson of Houston, TX, Wallace E. Pilson Jr. and Warren E. Pilson both of Bassett, four sisters, Gail Hairston of Fieldale, Janice Scales of Martinsville, Althea (Tina) Thomas of Bassett and Princess Washington of Flint, MI, 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle with Bishop Lorenzo Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 to 11:30 A.M. at the church and at other times at the home. Collins Funeral Home of Bassett is serving the Pilson family.
