Minnie Wyatt Hunt

Minnie Wyatt Hunt, age 91, of Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart, VA and formerly of Penhook, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart.

She was born January 24, 1919 in Henry County, VA to Thaddeus and Ada Wyatt, both deceased.

She was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Willis Hunt; three sons, Tyrone, Charles, and Bobby Wayne Hunt; four sisters, Allie Ferguson, Edna “Jack” Young, Gertrude Byrd, and Laura Janney and two brothers, Daniel and Jim Wyatt.

She is survived by her son, Ernie Hunt, of Penhook; her daughter, Bertha Willard of Stuart, thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Sandy Level Baptist Church with Dr. Kendall Smith and Rev. Brian Ashworth officiating. Burial will follow at The Wyatt Family Cemetery in Bassett.
